True North was originally True North Book & Bean Co., a Christian book store and gourmet coffee shop opened in 2004 in Mena  Arkansas by Don and Jackie Payette.  The Shop was located at 615 Mena Street and remained there when ownership transferred to Mark Lyles in 2007. Within a year he decided to concentrate his efforts on the Christian book store which he relocated to the Atwood Plaza as Crossing Jordan.  When the Coffee shop became available, it was taken over by the current owners.  True North Book & Bean Co was relocated to it current location, next to Really Great Pizza, near the corner of Mena St and Highway 71.  Building on the foundation laid by it previous owners, the owners tweaked the menu, upgraded the equipment and reopened in March of 2009 as True North Coffee & Tea Company.

True North Coffee & Tea Co was reopened with 2 specific goals. To provide the best quality coffee and gourmet beverages and food items and provide a social gathering place for adults in Mena.  True North Coffee & Tea is a locally owned, neighborhood-centered gathering place with freshly prepared specialty coffee and drinks,  with an inviting atmosphere and quality products.  In continuing to hold true the values of its original owners , True North Coffee & Tea Company, through its staff and products, tries to live our core values each and everyday.  Our care values are:

True North sells a wide  array of coffee and espresso-based drinks, specialty drinks, bakery items with a breakfast and lunch menu.
Specialty Coffees:  The primary product of True North is premium coffee. Several unique blends and espresso based drinks (both hot and iced) give our customers the variety they seek.  Our coffees are custom roasted in small batches by our artisan roaster.
Flavor-Based Drinks:  Hot chocolate and steamers - These drinks are made like lattes and mochas without the addition of coffee. Flavored syrups are added to steamed milk and may be topped with whipped cream at the customer's request. 
Other specialty drinks:  Gourmet hot tea, iced tea, chai, smoothies, frappuccinos,  blended coffee and tea-based drinks, and bottled soft drinks are served.  We like to call our smoothies "fresh fruit with a straw”.  True North Smoothies are made with real fruit puree and antioxidant-rich green tea. Our smoothies are fat-free and preservative-free.
Bakery Items:  True North offers its customers a variety of baked goods, including scones, cookies, sweet breads, muffins and cakes.
Breakfast & Lunch Menu:  A limited menu is available daily including fresh soup, Panini sandwiches, and salads.

True North offers seating for up to thirty people.  A drive through/pickup window makes it easy to get your drinks on the go.  Advance ordering can be done by phone, fax or through our web site www.truenorthcoffeeandtea.com.  After hours, True North is available for private parties and meetings
